Criteria for the Identification of Sodom for the Southern Sodom Theory and the Northern Sodom Theory

1. Both Bâb edh-Dhrâʿ and Tall el-Ḥammâm have possible locations for Zoar, but no one really knows for sure where Zoar is located, and over the years scholars have proposed several locations, though no clear archaeological evidence has ever emerged to positively identify it.
2. Bodies were only identified in the cemetery.
3. Some have suggested that Sodom was destroyed by an earthquake since it was located on a fault line. However, this is a moot criteria as both sites are located on the same fault line.
