Tall el-Ḥammâm looking west to Jericho
Tall el-Ḥammâm on the eastern side of the Jordan Valley. The tall rises to 45m (150 ft.) although the occupation levels sit on top of the natural hill and around the base of the tall. The white arrows indicate the location of two hot springs that provided year round water for irrigation. Some archaeologists believe that this location is Sodom.
