According to the Dead Sea Scrolls, ten men were continually employed in the Qumran Library. Here we see the process of producing the scrolls from the cutting of individual pages and drawing lines on them, the copying from other scrolls, and the assemblage and mending of scrolls on long tables. A special room was set aside for the storing of the scrolls in individual boxes (© Ritmeyer Archaeological Design).
