The scarab is a rare type that was made in the early 18th dynasty (Amenhotep II, ca. 1485-1418 BC) similar to others from the reigns of Amenhotep II and Thutmoses III (1506-1452). It provides an independent date for the fortress at Khirbet el-Maqatir, apart from pottery (Used with permission of the
